Customer Review: We didn't like this book. It wasn't about a museum at all; it was about getting motion-sickness on a bus trip. On the way to the museum for the class trip, Nancy's friend is feeling sick. Later during the trip, Nancy feels sick. They pull over to the side of the road and an adult helps Nancy while she's throwing up. Her clothes get messed up and she has to wear something else for the rest of the trip. We all felt a little sick after reading the book. Yuk. This was a book that we read only once and then put in the give-away box. I wish I had previewed it before buying it. I'll be sure to do that with Fancy Nancy books in the future.

Customer Review: I love these books by Richard Scarry. I bought them when my children were small, and I bought this one for my 5 month old grandson. Even though he doesn't understand the words and pictures, he loves the colors, and there is so much to look at that they really entertain him. The other day he was kind of cranky so I sat in the rocker with him and read two of the books. He was asleep before I finished the second book, but I kept reading because I wanted to see what happened. You can't go wrong with these books for children of all ages!

Is it true? "Is youth wasted on the young."
Sometimes, sometimes not.
Romeo and Juliet is the most known western love story of all time.
Why?
This is not an easy question to answer, however, personally, I would never go back to those extremes of pure love; that game playing, jealousy, love-making so innocent,(wonderful) and the relationship inevitably ending in tragedy.
What makes this 500 year old love story one of a kind is its "truth", that we are essentially envious beings, and pure love is something we all either unconsciously or consciously yearn for...and attempt to destroy.
Shakespeare was a clever fellow: with the sacrifice of these two lover's, at last, the feuding families ended their years of fighting... the Montague's & Capulet's. Peace fell upon Verona.
Does true love always end in tragedy?
A good question.
Shakespeares' classic is considered a "love story"; but the Bard revealed pure love's true irony...young love so pure, so intense, so true, the god's become envious and tragedy is pure love's ultimate end.
Very sad, but very true.
As the cliche' goes:
"Nothing ventured nothing gained."
Re-read this beautiful story and reflect that true love just might conquer all.

Customer Review: As a veteran writing teacher, I was wary of the 'not personal, not introspective, not boring" claim, as I take the instruction of writing very seriously. However, I found the prompts very entertaining and an excellent way to coax even the most reluctant writer into sharing their thoughts. My 7th grade classes enthusiastically write for several minutes for these prompts, and any writing is a move in the correct direction, in my opinion. "Unjournaling" adds some spice into my writing instruction.

Customer Review: All the reviews written on this Amazon site for FIRST ART explain why this book is exceptionally good for toddlers, twos and other little guys. But what I like is that it also gives the adult in charge some clear hints for success as well as suggestions for easy prep and collection or selection of materials. This is the key to making things work for the little guys...if we are ready as adults with a clear idea of what's happening, we can make sure it is smooth and fun for the kids too. I also like how materials are very flexible: If you don't have cardboard, then use an old poster. If you don't have paint, use food coloring. If you don't have paper, use the evening newspaper. Many people whose kids are grown already know some of this (some, not all!!!), but if you're new to art with little ones, this is a life-saver. EXCELLENT!!
